This system uses the latest in current <br />technology, including electronic imaging that allows full-color <br />photos and images to be stored on the computer and linked with data <br />records. This would be very useful for photographing inmates in <br />the jail, by which reducing the cost of photography. Photo lineups <br />could be made in one hour verses the current three hours. <br />Identification of suspects could quickly be made using the data <br />base to prove the actual identity of the person. <br /> <br /> The Crime Scene officer can make his State Bureau of <br />investigation monthly reports. The Uniformed Crime Reports, <br />summaries, stolen property, crime analysis, and synopses are <br />available for incident and arrest data. These UCR reports are <br />predesigned and easy to produce and takes approximately five <br />minutes verses the eight hours on the current system. This will <br />allow the officer more time for other investigative duties. <br /> <br /> This proposed record management system provides exact <br />emulation of the following official state forms: Incident, Arrest, <br />Search Warrants, Arrest Warrants, and Inmate Control Form. Once <br />the reports are loaded into the system it can be printed on regular <br />paper and looks the same as a state form we obtain from the SBI. <br /> <br /> The detectives will be able to setup a Narcotics Intelligence <br />File that allows them to make follow-up records for undercover drug <br />buys, search results, surveillance, general intelligence (known <br />association of drug deals). It will also tabulate similar Modes of <br />Criminal Operations throughout it's data base, thereby linking <br />cases together and possibly solving more cases. The search and <br />arrest warrants will be automatically created from the intelligence <br />records in the exact state formats ready to be signed by judicial <br />officials and served. The detectives will also be linked to the <br />Division of Criminal Information (DCI) in Raleigh through this <br />system, under which they will obtain state and federal records for <br />investigative purposes. <br /> <br /> The Crime Prevention Officer will be able to make I.D.'s <br />through this system for all the County Departments, and setup mug <br />shots or photo lineups for the Detectives in a matter of seconds. <br /> <br /> The jail will have a complete management tool, including <br />organizing, reporting, and automatic interfaces with the other data <br />bases (warrants, Incidents, Arrests, Civil Records, Alerts for <br />prior incidents in the Jail or Medical History). It also records <br />property inventory, pharmacy and physicians order, monetary <br />transactions, visitor log, transportation status, court dates, <br />dispositions, sentences and release dates. It will provide a daily <br />meal count, medical and other expenses, and calculate the State and <br />Federal fees that are due the county for the housing of State and <br />Federal Prisoners. <br /> <br /> <br />
