AMENDMENT No. 6 TO THE AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN <br /> OWNER AND ENGINEER <br /> FOR <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES RELATED TO THE <br />CABARRUS COUNTY SOLID WASTE PROGRAM <br /> <br />FURTHER DESCRIPTION OF BASIC SERVICES, DUTIES OF OWNER, <br /> METHOD OF PAYMENT, AND RELATED SERVICES <br /> <br />This tMMENDMENT to THE AGREEMENT made as of .August 22, 1994 is hereby <br />included as an addition to and incorporated as part of the AGREEMENT FOR <br />ENGINEERING SERVICES made on February 4, 1991, between Cabarrus County, <br />North Carolina (OWNER or COUNTY) AND Camp Dresser & McKee (ENGINEER or <br />CDM) for study and report professional services. <br /> <br />GROUNDWATER MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION AND SAMPLING AND <br /> METHANE GAS WELL INSTALLATION AT THE CABARRUS COUNTY <br />LANDFILL <br /> <br />The Basic Services of ENGINEER as described in Section 1 of said Agreement <br />are amended and supplemented as follows: <br /> <br />GENERAL <br /> <br />The purpose of this Amendment is to upgrade the monitor well network at the existing <br />Cabarrus County Landfill. The Water Quality Monitoring Plan, part of the Transition <br />Plan recently submitted to the North Carolina Solid Waste Section (SWS), seven <br />groundwater monitoring wells and 13 methane gas detection monitoring wells to be <br />installed at the site. The SWS has completed an interim review of the Water Quality <br />Monitoring Plan, submitted in the letter from Mr. Bobby Lutfy dated July 20, 1994, and <br />has requested that additional monitor wells be installed and that MW-1 and MW-9 be <br />incorporated into the monitoring well network. In addition, the SWS approved the <br />proposed methane gas well network in a letter from Mr. James Coffey dated July 20, 1994 <br />which as referenced, proposes the installation of 13 gas wells. This Amendment outlines <br />the tasks required to address the SWS regulations for the upgrade of both the groundwater <br />monitoring network and the methane gas well network. <br /> <br />a: cabarrtas'amend6.eab I of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
