-4- <br />~- For the all other agencies group in the earlier period, the 135 responses <br /> representing 187 adults reported 53 employed adults and 96 unemployed adults. 28% <br /> of these adults were thus reported as employed and 51% of these adults were <br />_ reported as unemployed. 64 of 96 unemployed adults (67%) had been unemployed for <br /> <br /> less than one year. <br /> <br />"- Monthly Income (p. 9.2): For all responses, 57 of 61 (or 93%) reported income of <br /> <br /> below $740 per month. The poverty level for a family of 2.27 would be <br /> <br /> approximately $820 per month. <br /> For the all other agencies responses in the earlier survey, 119. of 135 (83%) <br /> reported monthly income of below $740 per month. The average household size for <br />-- this group was 2.55 and the poverty level for such a household would be <br /> approximately $834 per month. <br /> <br />RESOURCES NEEDED AND RESOURCES AVAILABLE: <br /> <br />-- The charts given on pages 23 - 35 compile data from items M through P of the <br /> survey. These items gathered data on services and resources needed, services and <br /> resources provided, and services and resources which were not available in the <br />_ community. <br /> Primary service needs from the current survey period were as follows: <br />-- emergency financial assistance, 33 (54%); employment and better paying employment, <br /> 28 (46%); affordable housing, 25 (41%); help finding affordable housing, 22 (36%); <br /> and, emergency shelter, 17 (28%). <br />_ Primary service needs for the all other agencies group in the earlier survey <br /> <br /> period were: emergency financial assistance, 98 (73%); affordable housing, 53 <br /> <br />-- (39%); employment and better paying employment, 49 (36%); emergency shelter, 40 <br /> (30%); help ,finding affordable housing, 37 (27%). <br /> <br /> The primary areas in which resources were not available in the most recent <br /> survey period were: emergency financial assistance where there was no resource for <br /> <br /> <br />
