-4- ~- For the all other agencies group in the earlier period, the 135 responses representing 187 adults reported 53 employed adults and 96 unemployed adults. 28% of these adults were thus reported as employed and 51% of these adults were _ reported as unemployed. 64 of 96 unemployed adults (67%) had been unemployed for less than one year. "- Monthly Income (p. 9.2): For all responses, 57 of 61 (or 93%) reported income of below $740 per month. The poverty level for a family of 2.27 would be approximately $820 per month. For the all other agencies responses in the earlier survey, 119. of 135 (83%) reported monthly income of below $740 per month. The average household size for -- this group was 2.55 and the poverty level for such a household would be approximately $834 per month. RESOURCES NEEDED AND RESOURCES AVAILABLE: -- The charts given on pages 23 - 35 compile data from items M through P of the survey. These items gathered data on services and resources needed, services and resources provided, and services and resources which were not available in the _ community. Primary service needs from the current survey period were as follows: -- emergency financial assistance, 33 (54%); employment and better paying employment, 28 (46%); affordable housing, 25 (41%); help finding affordable housing, 22 (36%); and, emergency shelter, 17 (28%). _ Primary service needs for the all other agencies group in the earlier survey period were: emergency financial assistance, 98 (73%); affordable housing, 53 -- (39%); employment and better paying employment, 49 (36%); emergency shelter, 40 (30%); help ,finding affordable housing, 37 (27%).
