Cabarms County agrees to assist CDM in identifying and making contact with officials of all <br />public water supply systems located within two miles of the landfill. The County also agrees <br />to assist in the identification of all residential subdivisions within two miles of the landfill. If <br />a map showing the location of subdivisions in the area of the landfill is available from the <br />County Planning Department, the County will assist in obtaining such a map. The County <br />agrees to provide CDM with a map showing the major waste transportation routes to the <br />Cabarms County Landfill. <br /> <br />TASK 2 - LOCAL CHARACTERIZATION STUDY <br /> <br />In accordance with Rule .1618 (c)(2), CDM will prepare a Local Characterization Report. The <br />Local Characterization Report will cover both the Option A and Option B sites, and a 2,000 <br />foot perimeter measured from the proposed boundary of the sites. The study shall include an <br />aerial photograph taken within one year of the original submittal date, a report, and a local <br />map. The map and photograph shall be at a scale of at least one inch equals 400 feet. The <br />study will identify the following: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />The entire property proposed for the disposal site and any on-site easements <br />(the County agrees to provide a boundary survey of the landfill property and <br />map showing all easements through the site); <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Existing land use and zoning (the County agrees to provide a zoning map for <br />the area within 2,000 feet of the landfill); <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />The location of private residences and schools (the County agrees to assist in <br />the identification of any schools within 2,000 feet of the landfill). CDM will <br />contact the Division of Environmental Management regarding the presence of <br />potable wells and their production rates. CDM will contact the Cabarrus <br />County School System to identify the location of any schools within 2,000 feet <br />of the landfill. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />The location of commercial and industrial buildings, and other potential sources <br />of contamination (the County agrees to provide any available information <br />regarding potential sources of contamination within 2,000 feet of the landfill); <br />CDM will contact the Hazardous Waste Section to identify any sources of <br />contamination. <br /> <br />5) <br /> <br />The location of potable wells and available documentation regarding well <br />completion and production rate (the County agrees to provide whatever <br />information is available on the location and production rates of any potable <br />wells within 2,000 feet of the landfill); <br /> <br />6) <br /> <br />Historic sites (the County agrees to provide any information regarding historic <br />sites within 2,000 feet of the landfill that may be available from local historical <br />societies).
