(C) Soil classification: Unified Soil Classification System;

(D) Formation descriptions; and,

(E)

Saturated hydraulic conductivity, porosity, and effective porosity for each
lithologic unit of the uppermost aquifer.

Task 3.2 - Retain Geotechnical Drilling Contractor

Once the boring plan is approved by the SWS, CDM will prepare a Request for Proposal
(RFP) for submittal to a minimum of three qualified drilling contractors. The RFP will
outline services to be provided by the drilling contractor which may include, but will not
necessarily be limited to, the following items:

Hollow-stem augering
Core drilling
Air rotary drilling
Piezometer installation and development
Undisturbed (Shelby Tube) and bulk soil sample collection
Laboratory analysis of selected soil samples for particle size analysis, atterberg
limits, hydraulic conductivity, porosity, and effective porosity.

Additional items may be required, depending on discussions with the SWS as described in
Task above. Once the bids are received, CDM will review the bids with the County and
select a qualified firm. Once a firm is selected, CDM will then contract directly with the
selected drilling contractor. An allowance for the drill/ng cost has been provided in Section 4
of this Amendment. It is recognized that this figure could change depending upon the final
boring plan approved/required by the SWS, the actual bids from drilling contractors, and the
actual amount of work that is completed in the field. CDM will not exceed this allowance
without prior written approval from the County. CDM will review all invoices received from
the drilling contractor to ensure that drilling footages and other charges are correct. Once
reviewed and approved, invoices from the drilling contractor will be passed through to the
County.

Task 3.3 - Supervision of Geotechnical Drilling Work

Once the boring plan is approved by the SWS and a qualified drilling contractor is selected,
CDM will implement the approved boring plan. A CDM geologist will initially visit the site
to review and stake-out the boring locations and coordinate with County staff in providing
access to boring locations. A CDM geologist will supervise the drilling contractor during
field operations and determine sample collection depths and piezometer installation depths.

CDM will obtain information on fractured bedrock conditions by collecting rock cores to
· provide information on:
