MINUTES - WATER & SEWER DISTRICT - AUGUST 1, 1994 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County, as the governing board of <br />the Water and Sewer District of Cabarrus County, met in regular session at the <br />Governmental Center in Concord, North Carolina on Monday, August 1, 1994, at 4:30 <br />P.M. <br /> <br />Present - <br /> <br />Absent <br /> <br />Chairman: Jeffrey L. Barnhart <br />Commissioners: Arne L. Fennel <br /> Kenneth F. Payne <br />Vice-Chairman: Carolyn B. Carpenter <br /> Sue B. Casper <br /> <br /> Mr. Paul Watson, Engineer with HDR Engineering, Inc., presented the <br />Engineering Report on the bids received on June 15, 1994 for the Muddy CreekW~rrP <br />and Interceptor. The multi-prime bids could not be opened because there were <br />no bids for Contract B (Mechanical and Plumbing). However, since there were <br />three Contract S (Single Prime) bids, these bids were opened with the intent to <br />award on the basis of the lowest single prime bid. The submitted Contract A <br />(General) and Contract C (Electrical) bids were returned to the bidders unopened. <br />The Contract L (Line Work) bid of B.R.S., Inc., contained a minor math error of <br />$0.70 which was corrected to the figure presented below. The Contract S bid of <br />Concord Builders, Inc. contained a minor irregularity by omitting the name of the <br />manufacturer for the modular treatment units. The company has subsequently <br />provided a letter indicating that Davco should have been written into the space <br />provided.
