Box 707 Concord, NC 28026-0707 Dear Blair: In a called meeting on Monday, October 17, 1994, the Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Commission took action on the following items: The purpose of this called meeting was to review applications for the 2nd phase of the Cabarms County Matching Incentive Grant Program. There were three organizations (City of Concord Parks and Recreation Department, Bethel Athletic Association and Cabarrus County Council on Aging) that did not meet the October 10, 1994 deadline for submitting their share of awarded incentive grant money. Therefore, there were $27,850.00 available funds to award. There were nine eligible organizations - Aycock School P.T.O., Central Cabarrus High School, Kannapolis Soccer Association/Schools, Wolf Meadow P.T.A., Bethel Athletic Association, Concord Parks and Recreation Department, Coltrane Webb P.T.A., Cabarrus County Council on Aging, and Shadybrook School P.T.O. Eight group representatives provided short presentations requesting matching grant funds. After a lengthy discussion, the Parks and Recreation Commission awarded the 2nd Phase of Grants to the following groups: Aycock P.T.O. Shadybrook P.T.O. Coltrane Webb P.T.O. Kannapolis City Soccer Club/Schools City of Concord Parks & Rec. Dept. Cabarrus Cty.
