Our cable television franchise with your community will be <br />transferred to the new venture. <br /> <br />We hereby request Cabarrus County's consent to the transfer of the <br />franchise. Accordingly, attached are three (3) complete copies of FCC Form <br />394 along with three (3) copies of our corporate contract with Time-Warner <br />Entertainment, which we are required to submit by FCC regulation in <br />connection with our request for such consent. <br /> <br />We wish to assure you that there will be no interruption in service to the <br />cable customers in your community. Moreover, we believe that the formation <br />of the Time Warner Entertainment - Advance/Newhouse Partnership will bring <br />added strengths to the cable system in your community. Time Warner's <br />participation in the venture will ensure a more technologically innovative <br />and exciting cable television company which can only benefit our customers. <br /> <br />We are anxious to close this transaction as soon as possible. Accordingly, <br />I have enclosed a draft of a proposed resolution approving the assignment <br />of our franchise and would appreciate if you would let me know when this <br />matter may be placed on the Board's agenda.
