Flanning and Zoning Commission Minutes
October 20,1994 .

Pa~e 4

have 4 refrigerated trailer units that are in part of the fleet, and people were
concerned about the motors on the refrigerated trailers. I-to said they do not
bring anything in that just sits and runs constantly. He said every once in a
while they do have an emergency load. If the trailer is broken down, then it
may have to set a day, it does set in the yard. He said he would like for the
board to vote in favor of this proposal tonight.

Mr. Dwiggins asked Mr. Brooks where would they fuel?

Mr. Brooks said they fuel on fuel stops on the road, not on the yard.

Mr. Dwiggins said to Mr. Brooks that he had said that they would not do any
repair on site. Mr. Dwiggins said that the petition information and site plan
shows a shop and it says the plans already have enclosed repair shops.

Mr. Brooks said he was not aware of that.

Ms. Stafford asked Mr. Brooks how many trucks do they have coming in and
out a day on average?

Mr. Brooks said maybe one a day would come in, because 95% of the fleet is
out and they return back in on Fridays. He said basically what they are is
just a dispatch operation, and they need a place to dispatch and a place to
park the trucks. Basically what they are asking for is a legal place to park
those vehicles.

The Chair said she has a question for Ms. Schriefer. She said the petition as
she understood it was the use of existing structures as a dispatch office and
the use of the property as a parking facility. She said she also noted as Mr.
Dwiggins did, that in the petition itself it talks about future plans for a shop.
She asked Ms. Schriefer what is her interpretation of the petition, would it
include the shop?

Ms. $chrie£er said it includes everything that is shown on the site plan and
what is submitted to the board as their synopsis and their intent for the
property.

The Chair asked Ms. Schriefer if the Board should go with what the petition
says rather than what is says on the cover sheet.

Ms. Schriefer said that is correct.
