additional clients for the period January-June. Salary and benefit costs for 30
additional in-home aide positions total $168,440. Medicaid revenues billable
through mid-June for only these 30 positions total $233,836, or $64,836 in excess
of costs. (We have been able to serve some of the 38 additional clients using
existing positions. Revenues are currently running at an annualized rate of about
$167,000 above budgeted amounts).

We have included in the amendment request $3,246 in additional adult day
care funding the State has allocated us to cover a rate increase enacted by the
General Assembly. This makes the rate we can pay the Life Center under our
purchase service contract equal to the rate provided under the Home and
Community Care Block Grant.

At this time we have included in the amendment request only that portion of
projected new CAP Program revenues required to cover the requested additional
expenses. We are requesting the County establish 30 additional part-time in-home
aide positions beginning January 1 ~ ~

Please let me know if I need to provide any additional information.

Thank you.
