12 MONTH OPERATION- <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br />016 <br /> <br /> At the present time, the shei~er is operated by Cooperative Christian Ministry, <br /> for 6 months a year from 8PM to 6:30AM, and staffed by volunteers from 26 <br /> churches. All participating churches are willing to do more. To expand to a 12 <br /> month operation the chdrches would be asked to take twice as ma~ny nights in <br /> <br />-- ~wice as much time. Cabarrus County Community Service provides regular <br /> assistance, and would in ~he expanded schedule. <br /> <br />_Additional .churches are being actively recruited and the number of those <br /> participating has gone from 10 in 1999 to the present level. This active <br /> recruiting should continue to bring in additional food and overnight, volunteer <br /> staff. <br /> <br />-- STAFF- <br /> <br />--With the expanded schedule and requirements, additional paid staff would be <br /> required as follows: <br /> <br /> Director $20,000 annual salary <br /> <br /> 1 Assistant Director $18,'.000 annual salary~.=~'~."i.!40'~hour'~ Per': week. <br /> I Associate $9,000 per' year:' Salary~ pa~,time'~wor~in'g:26;hours per week. <br /> Parttime kitchen help $6,000 annual payrolli.i~. <br /> <br />--Volunteers would serve- 2 people to s~ay overnight. ? nights a week, 7PM to 7AM. <br /> 2 volunteers each night from 7 to ~ to help serve meals, <br /> <br /> In addition, volunteers can be used for food pick up, laundry, transportation, <br /> and assist in daytime duties at the shel~er. <br /> <br /> Community Service help can be utilized with 1 each night staying over with <br /> church volunteers, and 1 each day for janitorial. <br /> <br />--Law Enforcment should be brought into the program'to be visable during early <br /> evening ,..h0~r S.
