OPERATION/DUTIES OF STAFF- <br /> <br />01'7 <br /> <br />Hours of operation should be ?PM to ?AM. The earlier opening time can allow for <br />a smoother intake which will ayoid crowds gathering outside. This can help with <br />women and families feeling better about coming in. <br /> <br />Staff should be scheduled to have, at least, 1 on hand everyday between the <br />hours of 6AM to 10PM. A member of staff would be at zhe shelter from <br />to supervis~ opening and remain there until 10PM. Staff would arrive at 6A~ to <br />supervise the closing of the shelter at ?AM, and remain~ on duty. <br /> <br />The shelter should be cleared at 7AM, except in the case of severe weather, <br />illness, and parents with small children. <br /> <br />During the daytime hours, staff spends Time with residents on an <br />appointment/scheduled basis, gettin~ acquainted, interviewing to establish <br />needs, set ~oals and plans wi~h residents, and follow up. <br /> <br />Additional duties would involve linkage and coordination of available community <br />services, 'and provide transportation. Residents can be expected to have need <br />for.' d6cto~'s~i ho~pltai. VA,'Detox, Rehab, Social'Security, Employment Security, <br />~ob in'~ervl'ews, CCM crisis center, Salvatlo~ Army, and Pharmany. ~ <br /> <br />Other duties of s~aff would be supervisinM cleaning and community service, food <br />schedul'in~, preparation or pickup, clerical duzies, reports, telephone, and <br />malntalnin~ programs for church volunteers, and food. <br /> <br />-- S~aff would be expeczed to-conduct individual and group meetings with shelter <br /> residents, volunteers, churches, and others of the community. <br /> <br /> <br />
