Witherspoon and Cabarrus County Commissioners <br />Bill Cochran ~ <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Fisher Town Community - Phase 2, <br /> Sanitary Sewer Improvements <br /> <br />DATE: February 24, 1993 <br /> <br /> On Thursday, February 11, 1993 at 2:00 PM, we received 4 <br />bids for the construction of the Fisher Town Community <br />Development Block Grant sewer project. This project consists of <br />a sewer collection line along Macon Street, a sewage pump station <br />that will eventually serve over 100 houses after the completion <br />of Phase 3, and a force main to discharge the waste into an <br />existing manhole on Marion Street. The project is on the '~ <br />northwest side of Kannapolis with the pump station located <br />Charlie Walker Road. <br /> <br /> The low bidder was Concord Builders, Inc. of Concord, N. C. <br />with a bid of $72,706.50. Following is a list of the bidders and <br />their bids. <br /> <br />BIDDER , <br /> <br />Concord Builders, Inc. <br />Castor Plumbing Co., Inc. <br />R. F. We hope to have this soon. <br /> <br />RECOPLMENDATION <br /> <br /> I have discussed these bids with Henry Waldroup and we <br />request that the Commissioners authcri:.e the ~ward to be made to <br />Concord Builders, Inc., pending acquisition of the easement for <br />the pump station site. Concord Builders, Inc., has worked for <br />Cabarrus County before, is a local contractor and has always <br />completed their work in an exemplary manner. <br /> <br /> <br />
