Funding for Exceptional Children Programs <br /> <br />Support legislation to remove statutory caps on state funding for exceptional children's programs. <br /> <br />9. State School Funding <br /> <br />Support legislation to limit state funding to one school administrative unit per county. <br /> <br />10. Sewage Discharge Requlrements for Schools <br /> <br />Support legislation to provide financial assistance to ameliorate water quality problems associated <br />with violations of regulatory requirements regarding sewage generated at school sStes; and to <br />abate fines imposed by the Division of Environmental Management and facilitate compliance <br />with Division regulations through special orders of consent. <br /> <br />11. Governance <br /> <br />Support a restructuring of the organization of the State Board of Education to improve the <br />harmony between the Superintendent and Board members, provided that any plan be subject to <br />approval of the voters of North Carolina. <br /> <br />12.
