Day <br />Budget Officer <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Aubre¥ Attkisson <br />Director Emergency Medical Services <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />March 24, 1993 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Budget Revision <br /> <br />EMS provides stand-by coverage for both Concord Motor <br />Speedway and to a lesser degree, to Charlotte Motor Speedway. <br />They pay Cabarrus County EMS for this service which is put <br />into an account called "EMS Standby Coverage" No. 6-27-42- <br />503. As of the end of February 1993, we have $5,100 in that <br />account. <br /> <br />We would like to transfer a total of $3,900 to cover expenses <br />for the following: <br /> <br />$1,900 <br /> <br />To purchase a multi-channel VHF radio and a <br />multi-channel UHF radio for the Disaster <br />Response Vehicle (DRY) in order to respond to <br />a multi-casualty incident and for all <br />agencies in the County as a Mobile Command <br />Center (and also as a back-up in the event of <br />equipment failure in our existing <br />ambulances). <br /> <br />$1,000 To help fund the Safety Fair in May, 1993. <br /> <br />$1,000 <br /> <br />To help finish the disaster vehicle and make <br />it ready for service to the citizens of <br />Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />Please let me know as soon as these funds are available.
