CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br />CDC Activities <br /> <br />Centralina Development Corporation approved a project cost increase in the <br />amount of $208,000 to Grayson O Group. <br /> <br />Job Training Activities <br /> <br />Conducted joint meeting of Centralina PIC Planning and Oversight/Evaluation <br />committees at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College (South campus) on March 31. <br />Prepared and distributed Review Criteria evaluation forms and staff <br />recommendations on 1993 Title II-B SYETP proposals for committee review. <br /> <br />Conducted Request for Proposals (RFP) Bidders Conference on March 16 at <br />Centralina. Distributed and provided guidance for the completion of the RFP for <br />PY 93 Title II and III and NCETGP services in the Centralina SDA (due back on <br />April 16). <br /> <br />Participated in U.S. Department of Labor - sponsored workshop on Job Training <br />Reform Amendments in Atlanta on March 2-5. <br /> <br />Participated in DEr - sponsored program planning workshop on Job Training <br />Reform Amendments in Raleigh on March 22. <br /> <br />Facilitated presentation of Objective Assessment software package by Wayne <br />Daves (The Learning Works, Inc.) on March 8. <br /> <br />Assisted DEr Monitoring Review team (Barry Edwards and Mike Caviness) in their <br />review of the Centralina SDA on March 24-26. <br /> <br />Met with representatives from Alamo Rental Car Company in Charlotte on March <br />23 to discuss possibility of Customized Training for reservations agents through <br />JTPA. <br /> <br />Met with Don Hudson (Area Manager) and Linda Burton (Area Representative) in <br />Charlotte on March 30 to discuss Employment Security Commission's role in JTPA <br />for next program year. <br /> <br />Reviewed, processed, and corrected Monthly Performance Reports from program <br />contractors. Also reviewed responses to contractor monitoring reports. <br /> <br />Provided technical assistance to JTPA contractor staff. <br /> <br />ProCessed Monthly Financial Status Reports and Requests for Funds from program <br />contractors. <br /> <br /> <br />
