Ritchie, NPE Program Coordinator <br /> Eleanor Koski, Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Awarding Food Service Bid <br /> <br />The Cabarrus County Dept. of Aging opened bids for food service for <br />the congregate nutrition program on April 30, 1993. <br /> <br />Three bid packages were mailed to: <br /> <br />Consolidated Coin Caterers Corp. <br />Servicemaster Education Food Management <br />Stuart Foods <br /> <br />One bid was received from: <br /> <br />Servicemaster Education Food Management <br />c/o Catawba College <br />2300 W. Innes Street <br />Salisbury, N. C. <br /> <br />Bid price: $2.202 <br />Renegotiated Price: $2.108 <br />(based on negotiations in the bid specs) <br /> <br />As per your decision, we will not rebid for the food service and <br />accept the renegotiated meal price of $2.108 per meal. <br /> <br />We recommend that the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners accept <br />the bid from Servicemaster Education Food Management and award the <br />contract to provide meals to the Nutrition Program for the Elderly <br />beginning July 1, 1993 through June 30, 1994. The contract will <br />include that Servicemaster will provide approximately 54,000 meals <br />during the fiscal year 1994. <br /> <br />Please place this item on the agenda for the June 7, 1993 Board of <br />Commissioners regular 9:00 a.m. meeting. <br /> <br />Attachments: copy of orginial bid and bid addendum <br /> <br /> Department of Aging <br />P.O.
