If this is the case, an additional amendment may be required to address out-of-scope <br />comments. <br /> <br />Task 10 - Assistance with Implementation of the Closure Plan <br /> <br />CDM will meet with County staff prior to beginning to closure activities to review the closure <br />plan. CDM will meet with County staff once during implementation of the plan to review <br />progress. <br /> <br />Task 11 - Closure Certification <br /> <br />The North Carolina Solid Waste Management Rules require that written notification and <br />certification by the owner that the facility complies with the closure conditions; including <br />certification by a registered professional engineer licensed in North Carolina that adequate testing <br />has been determined that the f'mal cover requirements have been met, be submitted. The roles <br />also require certification by a representative of the Solid Waste Section. <br /> <br />CDM will review the conditions of the permit and closure plan, 'and inspect the recently <br />completed area to confirm that the area has been closed in accordance with the permit conditions <br />when the County completes work. CDM will collect up to ten Shelby tubes to verify the cover <br />cap meets minimum pesYneabilities. <br /> <br />CDM will prepare and submit the closure certification report to the Solid Waste Section for <br />approval. <br /> <br />The responsibility of OWNER as described in Item D of said Agreement are <br />amended and supplemented as follows: <br /> <br />· Provide a letter stating the projected use of the landfill after closure, if needed. <br /> <br />Provide access and authorizations for all properties to be evaluated in this <br />Amendment. <br /> <br />· Assist ENGINEER in complying with any additional information requested by the <br />State or any other regulatory agency during permitting, design, and construction <br />of any project included in this Amendment. <br /> <br />· Review all project deliverables in a timely manner. <br /> <br />3. The time periods for the performance or ENGINEER's services are as follows: <br /> <br />CDM will prepare both closure plans including the work in Tasks 1-5, and 8-9 within ten weeks <br />of the meeting on site with Mr. Julian Foscue, which will be schedule upon receipt of notice to <br />proceed.
