Page 4 <br />Cabarrus Coun~ <br />June 14, 1993 <br /> <br />Regional Activities <br /> <br />EMS <br /> <br />Developed proposal to OEMS for Trauma Triage Protocol Implementation project <br />and submitted it for funding consideration. <br /> <br />Water Quality/Rivers <br /> <br />Yadkin/Pee Dee Stream Monitoring <br /> <br />Conducted meeting with Pee Dee COG, Northwest Piedmont COG, Western <br />Piedmont COG, and Piedmont Triad COG to review possible stream sites and <br />discuss training for the Stream Monitorinig Program. <br /> <br />Prepared draft 205(j) subcontracts for the Yadkin/Pee Dee project which will be <br />submitted to Mecklenburg County Environmental Protection. <br /> <br />- Photographed streams in Stanly, Cabarrus, and Rowan Counties as possible <br /> stream monitoring sites. <br /> <br />- Met with Sam Erwin to discuss the best method for purchaSing equipment for the <br /> Stream Monitoring Project. <br /> <br />Bi-State Catawba River Task Force <br /> <br />.- Began working with a subcommittee to plan the fall conference. <br /> <br />Continued work on a slide show for the Bi-State Catawba River Task Force. <br /> <br />Canoed Mountain Island Lake with water quality interest groups to promote <br />awareness of the importance of Mountain Island. <br /> <br />Met with representatives of the Public Land Trust to discuss efforts to purchase <br />land in the region. <br /> <br />Prepare application for the LRO annual meeting which if approved, would result in <br />the Bi-State Catawba River Task Force making a presentation. <br /> <br />Other <br /> <br />Wrote Administrative Section of the River Status Report for the Catawba River <br />Corridor Study. <br /> <br /> <br />
