This Memorandum
Of Understanding has been revised to include some editorial changes and other changes
relating to compliance with Worker's Compensation, the American Disabilities Act, and
the time frame for reviewing the document with Board of County Commissioners. This new
document also reflects our name change and the new logo.

I am enclosing three (3) copies of the Memorandum Of Understanding to be signed by the
Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners. After signing, please return them to
me so that our Director of Extension can also sign. Then, two (2) of the documents
will be sent back to me; one (1) for my file and one (1) for you. This is the same
procedure we have used in the past.

Ron Aycock, Executive Director the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners,
indicated that it may not be necessary to officially renegotiate signing the document
every four (4) years. He pointed out that many county agencies do not review and sign
memorandums until it is necessary. We realize this will vary from county to county.
After this revised Memorandum is signed, we will no longer be required to get it
reviewed and signed every four (4) years, unless you desire it be done.

I appreciate the excellent working relationship that exist between the Cabarrus County
Commissioners, County Manager, State and Federal Administration for Extension.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this Memorandum Of Understanding,
please let me know.

Sincerely yours,

AMS/ccb

Employment and program opportunities are offered to all people regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or handicap.
North Carolina State University, North Carolina A&T State University, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and local governments cooperating.
