The Planning and <br />Zoning Staff is also currently working on a re-write of the County <br />Zoning Ordinance that will require a great deal of public input. <br />The re-write will include the mapping of all new zoning districts <br />and much of that mapping will come directly from area plans. <br /> <br />The historical, cultural, and rural nature of the North Central <br />Area should be preserved. Many of the recommendations preceding <br />this one have addressed this issue, but they were actions for which <br />governmental agencies were responsible. Ultimately it is up to <br />area citizens to guarantee that their heritage and way of life are <br />preserved and protected. This can be accomplished in many ways <br />including protecting and preserving historical properties and <br />sites, properly developing land and through good stewardship of the <br />land. <br /> <br />22 <br /> <br /> <br />
