Requests for additional employees <br />have not been approved. <br /> <br />At the present t{me, half the ambers of the library staff work 8:30-5:30, <br />Monda~ through Thu~sda.v; while the ot~er half works 11;30--8:00. <br />library pages alternate evening hours, w~th each page working two nights <br />per week. 4:00-8~00, ~th this proposed new schedule, the fu~lttme <br />members of the library staff would be at work the same hours ~o~day <br />through Thursday and bot~ of the library pages wOuld work 4:00-8:00 on ~e <br />evenings the library ts open. This sche~u]e shou]d alleviate the pro~lems <br />encountered tn tr~1ng to provide exemp]ar~ service to library pal~'ons on <br />these <br /> <br />in additfon to t~e above changes in hours of library operation, some. <br />staffing changes wOul~ be made to provtde addftfonal help on Fridays and <br />Saturdays, At the present time, staffing on Fridays if four fulltime <br />employees end on Saturdays, two fulltime employees and the t~e library <br />pales, Currently, each staff member is required to ~rk on Saturday every <br />three weeks. B~ altering the rotation to every :we weeks and by also <br />h~v~ng the entire librat7 staff work 8:30-5:30 on Mondays, we will be able <br />to have an aaditlonal person ~ork each FrJda~ and each Saturday. T~e <br />additional person would w~rk on Friday and $&turdax then be able to ta~e <br />~nda~ as a day off, TMs would increas~ the number of employees working <br />on Fridays and Saturdays from four to flve, The add~tion of thts extra <br />person should help us to provide somewhat better service to ~br~g <br />patrons on the weekends, <br /> <br />TOTAL P.~6 _ .. <br /> <br /> <br />
