AMENDMENT
Coddle Creek Reservoir
December 15, 1993
Page 5

1.6.3.1.5.

reports will be submitted to the Division of Environmental
Health (Pest Management Section) upon request.

Methodology - Fish populations will be assessed through
use of various standard collection techniques including dip
nets, seines, minnow traps, etc. The specific method(s)
chosen will be based upon a preliminary field review of
collection sites and expected species. In every case, the
same method(s) will be used for ail species and for every
sampling event to reduce the var/ability between
populations and events.

Individuais of the various fish species will be collected and
preserved and returned to the office for identification to
species. Total numbers and weight of individuals will be
recorded, aiong with notations on field conditions and any.
coincidental water quaiity data which may be available for
the day of collection.

Information on the populations of the fish species will be
included in the Event Reports and Annuai Repons for each
of the 7 years of monitoring, and copies of these reports
will be provided to DEH Pest Management Section upon
request. If, based upon any event or annuai report, it
becomes apparent that mosquito populations are not
adequately being controlled through these specific
biologicai means, remedial measures will be recommended
in the report(s).

Coincidental Water Quality. Monitoring of water quality
in the pool of the reservoir will be routinely performed as
part of reservoir operation. However, it is important to
note that data collected to assess compliance with state and
federal drinking water standards will aiso provide insight
into the ecological processes that occur in association with
lake eutrophication. Evaluation of such data as it becomes
available will be conducted as part of the monitoring of the
mitigation areas. Data from such sampling will be
reviewed and pertinent components included in the
Mitigation Monitoring Repons.
