AMENDMENT
Coddle Creek Reservoir
December 15, 1993
Page 6

1.6.3.2.

1.6.3.3.

1.6.3.1.6.

Reports. An "event report" will be generated after each
monitoring event which will provide raw data collected for
the parameters described above, and limited analysis of the
data. An "annual report" will be generated at the end of
each year of monitoring (Years 1 through 7) which will
provide a statistical analysis of the raw data, a description
of problems and solutions associated with the mitigation
areas, and a summary of other pertinent data available (e.g.
water quality in the reservoir, adult mosquito population
data, data gathered by NCSU, etc.). Annual reports will
be forwarded through the County to the N.C. Divisions of
Environmental Management and Environmental Health with
the calendar year's event reports attached. Annual reports
will provide detailed recommendations for remedial actions
needed to ensure project compliance with 404 permit
conditions.

1.6.3.1.7.

Review and Coordination. Limited time will be required
for administration during monitoring and to provide the
County with support during regulatory agency review of
reports generated through these efforts. HDR will be
available to address comments and other contacts by
regulatory personnel with the County regarding monitoring
efforts described herein.

Maintenance. As directed by the 404 permit, all mitigation areas must
be kept relatively clear (less than 20% cover) of nuisance species of
vegetation; in addition, an 80% survival rate is required of NCSU for
planted trees during the first four years following planting. For each year
during which less than 80% of the installed trees have survived, new trees
must be replanted by NCSU to attain the 80% level. In the event that a
monitoring report recommends replanting or other remedial activities,
HDR will provide oversight of these efforts as they are implemented by
NCSIJ or other OWNER contractor(s).

Reports.
