The ultimate design engineer estimate was <br />$537,000. Base bid is $542,726.38. Including grant administration, engineering and <br />right-of-way, the project total is $633,987.38. Total funds committed to the project <br />total $578,247. Fund shortage is $55,740.38 <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br /> <br />1) <br />2) <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Award bid to R. F. Shinn Construction in amount of $542,726.38. <br />Transfer of $55,740.38 from Whitley CDBG local unexpended funds (CDBG <br />92-E-0006) to Howell CDBG project <br />Consider use of Cabarrus County Water and Sewer District funds, totaling <br />$51,195.02 to award the larger line size bid.
