timely completed so as to coincide with the beginning of <br />operation of the E-911 system for CABARRUS and KANNAPOLIS. <br /> <br /> 2. Term of Agreement. This Agreement shall commence upon <br />its final approval and execution by appropriate authority of both <br />KANNAPOLIS and CABARRUS, and shall terminate on October 31, 1992. <br />After said time period and upon implementation and activation of <br />the operational system, CABARRUS shall continue the street naming <br />and addressing function at no additional cost to KANNAPOLIS until <br />the first to occur of (a) KANNAPOLIS no longer desires this <br />service; or (b) June 30, 1996. <br /> <br /> 3. Undertakings of CABARRUS. CABARRUS agrees to provide <br />the necessary personnel who will evaluate, correct, and assign <br />street addresses and street names using a "mini-grid" and the <br />unified house numbering system. The mini-grid will be <br />established by CABARRUS. Within the area generally bounded by <br />and located between Irish Buffalo Creek and Interstate 85, the <br />address system already in place shall be used as the base (the <br />"Base Area"). Outside the Base Area, the County-wide, unified <br />house numbering system will be used. Corrections to the <br />addressing system may include, but are not limited to: adjusting <br />addresses where the two grid systems meet; adjusting addressing <br />at the county boundary; changing addresses where range or <br />ascension/descension problems exist; and, renaming roads with <br />duplicate names. <br /> <br /> The designated personnel from CABARRUS assigned to the <br />addressing project will coordinate with the following <br /> <br />o <br /> <br /> <br />
