B) <br /> <br />This Ordinance. shall apply in all areas of Cabarrus County not within <br />u ,nunicipu]ity or its extraterritorial jurisdiction, except for those <br />municipalities that have contracted wkh the County for addressing <br />services. <br /> <br />Section 5. <br /> <br /> A) <br /> <br />Display of Road Address Numbers <br /> <br />Road address numbers must be clearly displayed in accordance with <br />U.S. Postal requirements so that ~he location can be identified easily <br />from the road. <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />The official address number must be displayed on the front of a <br />building, or at the entrance.to a building, whichever_is most <br />clearly visible from the street or road during day and'~ip~ht. <br /> <br />If a building is more than one hundred (100) feet from any road, <br />the address number shall be displayed within a three foot <br />perimeter a[ ~he end of the driveway or easement nearest the <br />¢.oad which provides access to the building. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Numerals indicating the address number of a single family <br />dwelling shall be at least three (3) inches in height and shall be <br />posted and maintained so as ~o be legible from ~he road. <br /> <br />Numerals for mukiple dwelling units and nonresidential building <br />shah be at least six (6) inches in height and shall be placed on <br />the front of the building facing the road or at the end of the <br />bu.;!ding nearest lhe road. <br /> <br />5) <br /> <br />Mobile home lots shall have sequential address numbers <br />throughout ~he park. Each lot shall have a separate address <br />number assigned. The address number of each lot must be <br />clearly displayed on the lot so as to be legible frown the road, or <br />it may be mounted on the mobile home unit provided that it is <br />removed if the home is transporled to a new location. <br /> <br />6) Numel'.als must be of contrasting color to the background. <br /> <br />The Cabarrus County Planning, Zoning and Building h%spection <br />Departmenl. will have the right to authorize and approve akernate <br />me~hods of displaying house numbers which meet the intent of lhis <br />Ordinance when strict adherence to these standards cannot be <br />reasonably met. <br /> <br />Section 6. <br /> A) <br /> <br />Enforcement <br /> <br />No building permit shall be issued until an official house number has <br />been assigned for a lot. The record plat of any subdivision must show <br />%he address for each lot created and/or recorded. <br /> <br /> <br />
