From the cost saving programs of the year any project which <br />will produce a savings in excess of $5,000 shall be awarded a <br />percentage of the cost savings. The amount is determined according <br />to the attached sliding scale. All other projects may be awarded <br />at the discretion of the manager. <br /> <br />4. Awards will be shared equally among team members and the one <br />supervisor associated with the team. If the idea was presented by <br />an individual, he/she will receive the award. Department heads are <br />not eligible for awards. <br /> <br />5. It is suggested that the County picnic be used as the forum <br />for the annual recognition and presentation of awards. <br /> <br />6. Should any team member or individual elect to not receive the <br />award due to him/her, that amount of money will be designated <br />toward the purchase of a piece of equipment for that division or <br />department as indicated by the department head. <br /> <br />Other <br /> <br />1. The county manager shall report to the Board of County <br />Commissioners as necessary to keeo the board ~nformed of the <br />programs b~ing implemented and the estimated/ actual <br /> <br />2. The programs shall further be shared between department heads <br />at the department head meeting as seen fit by the County Manager. <br />This could include both programs that could be utilized by other <br />departments as well as programs that have not worked as initially <br />intended. The county newsletter should also be utilized to the <br />degree that it is possible. <br /> <br />3. At least annually, a report shall be made verifying the annual <br />savings in operating expenses as a result of this program. <br /> <br /> <br />
