Roadway corridor official maP act. <br /> (a) A roadway corridor oi~cia] map may be adopted or amended <br />by the goveraJngboard of any city for any thorougKfare included as <br />part of a comprehensive plan for streets and highways adopted pur- <br />suant te G.S. 156-66.2 or by the Board of Transpo.,~r~,tion for any <br />portion of the existing or proposed State highway s3 stem. Before a <br />city adopts a roadway corridor off~cia] map t-hat e~-~ends beyond the <br />ex~traterritorial jurisdiction of its building per,nit issuance and sub- <br />division control ordinances~ or. adopts an amendment ~o a roadway <br />corridor officiai map outside the extraterri~ria] jurisdiction of its <br />building pe~'~nit issuance and subdivision control ordinances, the <br />city must obtain approval from the Board of County Commis. <br />sioners. No roadway corridor oflficia] map shall be adopted or <br />amended, nor may any property be regulated under this Article <br />until: <br /> (1) Th_e governing hoard of the city or the Department of <br /> ~ransport~tion in each county affected by t~e map, has <br /> held a public hearing on the proposed map or amenclmenL <br /> Notice of the hearing shail "be provided: <br /> a.
