ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br /> <br />WORD PROCESSING SYSTEM~ <br /> <br /> CABARRUS COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br /> Sealed proposals will be received by Cabarrus County in the <br /> Commissioner's Room on the second floor of the Cabarrus County <br /> Governmental Center at 65 Church Street South, Concord, North Carolina <br />--28025, on March 16, 1992 until 2:00 P.M. local time. <br /> <br /> Bids for furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor required <br />--for delivery, installation and placing the hardware and operating <br /> software into service, will be opened and read immediately after the <br /> time specified above. <br /> <br />The CONTRACT will consist of the following items: <br /> <br />WORD PROCESSING SYSTEM <br /> <br /> Specifications are available in the office of the Management <br /> Information Systems Director at 65 Church Street South, Concord, North <br />--Carolina 28025, during normal working hours. <br /> <br /> Ail items shall be bid on a unit price basis and all prices shall <br />_include all materials, labor, and equipment whatsoever required under <br /> State law for performing the Contract on this Project. <br /> <br /> Each proposal shall be accompanied by a five percent bid <br />-- security. This security may be in cash, certified check or bid bond <br /> issued by Surety licensed to conduct business in North Carolina and <br /> named in the current list of "Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal <br />-- Bonds" as published by the Audit Staff Bureau of Accountants, U.S. <br /> Treasury Department. The deposit may be retained by the OWNER as <br /> liquidated damages if the successful bidder fails to execute the <br />_ Contract within ten (10) days after notice of award. <br /> <br /> The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to <br />accept any bid which appears to be in its best interest. <br /> <br /> /John V.
