Board of Commissioners <br />April 21, 1992 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br /> I personally thank Barrier Building Systems and Martin <br />Cochran for the job they have done in construction of the <br />facility. Also, I would like to thank Steve Little, Director <br />of Parks and Recreation for allowing the landscaping to be <br />handled by his Department. The landscaping was actually done <br />by Curt Eudy who did a fantastic job of making a landscaped <br />yard from a large puddle of red mud. Also, my gratitude and <br />thanks to many of my employees. They spent unknown hours of <br />their own time looking at samples of carpet, siding, kitchen <br />cabinets and linoleum, as well as choosing furnishings, <br />drapes and other decorating accessories to complete our <br />station. My special thanks to the Board of Commissioners. <br />You allowed me the opportunity and the freedom to design, <br />build and furnish this station. <br /> <br /> On Sunday, June 7, we will have an open house from 2:00 <br />p.m. until 5:00 p.m. for the citizens of Cabarrus County. <br />Details for the open house are in the planning stages. When <br />plans are finalized, further information will be sent to you. <br />If any member of the Board would like to visit the new <br />station prior to the open house, please feel free to drop by <br />or give me a call and I will be glad to meet you there. <br /> <br />ALA: jys <br /> <br />cc: John V.
