Select Key Issues to be Studied The Steering Committee will be charged with selecting up to six "key issues" to be examined in the Study. For each issue, a task force will be appointed by the various Boards of County Commissioners. d. Appointment of Task Force Members Approximately 15-25 persons per Task Force will be appointed. All participating Counties will be equally represented on each Task Force. e. Task Forces Convene to Address Their Area of Concern Each Task Force will conduct analyses of their individual area of concern. A set of goals, objectives and strategies will be developed by each Task Force. COG staff will serve as facilitator to each Task Force and prepare a final report. f. Present Task Force Reports to the Steering Committee COG staff will (along with representatives from each Task Force) present the final reports to the Steering Committee for their endorsement. Amendments, if necessary, will be made. g. Present Final Report to Boards of Co--missions Once the Steering Committee has endorsed the final document containing the reports of the Task Forces, the document will be presented to the Boards of Commissioners from each of the participating counties for their approval. COMPLETION DATE It is anticipated that the study will begin in July 1992. Approximately 12-15 months is estimated for the completion of the final report. COSTS A total project cost of approximately $100,000 is estimated. The costs would be equally shared by the counties participating in the study.
