Select Key Issues to be Studied <br /> <br />The Steering Committee will be charged with selecting up <br />to six "key issues" to be examined in the Study. For <br />each issue, a task force will be appointed by the various <br />Boards of County Commissioners. <br /> <br />d. Appointment of Task Force Members <br /> <br />Approximately 15-25 persons per Task Force will be <br />appointed. All participating Counties will be equally <br />represented on each Task Force. <br /> <br />e. Task Forces Convene to Address Their Area of Concern <br /> <br />Each Task Force will conduct analyses of their individual <br />area of concern. A set of goals, objectives and <br />strategies will be developed by each Task Force. COG <br />staff will serve as facilitator to each Task Force and <br />prepare a final report. <br /> <br />f. Present Task Force Reports to the Steering Committee <br /> <br />COG staff will (along with representatives from each Task <br />Force) present the final reports to the Steering <br />Committee for their endorsement. Amendments, if <br />necessary, will be made. <br /> <br />g. Present Final Report to Boards of Co--missions <br /> <br />Once the Steering Committee has endorsed the final <br />document containing the reports of the Task Forces, the <br />document will be presented to the Boards of Commissioners <br />from each of the participating counties for their <br />approval. <br /> <br />COMPLETION DATE <br /> <br />It is anticipated that the study will begin in July 1992. <br />Approximately 12-15 months is estimated for the completion of <br />the final report. <br /> <br />COSTS <br /> <br />A total project cost of approximately $100,000 is estimated. <br />The costs would be equally shared by the counties <br />participating in the study. In addition, private funds are <br />being sought to help defray some of the costs. (Although <br />discussions with private sources are currently underway, no <br /> <br /> <br />
