Page 2 Mr. Witherspoon April 3, 1992 I1. B. General Information Members may serve for three consecutive two-year terms or a total of six years. After a one-year lapse in membership, said member is eligible for reappointment. Alternates serve for a one-year term. No Advisory Committee shall be employed by an Agency which is receiving Older American Act funds. At least 50% of appointees should be over 60 years of age. The Committee meets about once every three months and advises the staff and COG Board on the Area Plan, allocation of funds, etc. C, Specific Requests James Graeber has served two terms for a total of four years and - may be reappointed for another two-year term if you wish. Dr. Wallace Early has served as an alternate for one year and may - be reappointed for another one-year term if you wish. Centralina Development Corporation, Inc. A. Membership Cabarrus County has three (3) of twenty-five (25) members. They are appointed by the County Commissioners and represent (1) local government (2) local private lending institutions (3) local community organizations (4) business organization (the local government representative may - but need not be a local elected official). The membership meets once a year (annual meeting) and elects two of the three members of the Board of Directors. The Board meets on the last Tuesday of each month at 2 p.m. as needed. The Board in addition to establishing the practices, policies and procedures, reviews loan application from applicants throughout the region. Most members are financially oriented in that they are or have been employed by a bank or savings and loan, they are active in the area of economic development or they have experience in operating a business. We encouraae the Commissioners to reappoint as many members as reasonable. It is imperative that the member, if elected to the Board, be willing to actively participate and attend the monthly meetings on a regular basis.
