Newto~t Director <br />Planning, Zoning, Building Inspection Department <br /> <br />RE: Economic Development application and grant <br /> administration <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />July 13, 1992 <br /> <br />My office is in the process of making application for a economic <br />development grant through the North Carolina Department of Economic <br />and Community Development. In order for us to complete all of the <br />paperwork and to timely complete the application, the County will <br />need to contract out for the application preparation and the grant <br />administration. Unlike grants in the past, the Economic and <br />Community Development Department requires that the County secure <br />the grant administrator prior to application submittal. <br /> <br />Therefore, I have caused a request for proposals and will review <br />submitted proposals after the 10:00 AM, July 20, 1992 deadline. I <br />request to be on the Commissioners Agenda for the Board meeting <br />that evening so that the contract for the application preparation <br />and grant administration can be awarded by the Commissioners that <br />evening. <br /> <br />I have included a copy of the request for proposals. <br /> <br /> Planning and Zoning Department <br /> <br />P.O.
