Special meetings shall also be scheduled upon request by four (4) or more appointgd members. A quorum of the Commission shall be in attendance before action of an official nature can be taken. Regular meetings shall be held in the Conference Room of the Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department or within the County at a place so designated by the notice of the meeting. A written or printed notice of the meeting, stating the place, the date and time of the meeting shall be delivered to each member not less than 5 days before the date thereof. The notice of the meeting may be delivered either in person or by mail at the direction of the chairman, or the Vice-Chairman~.in..~ the abs~e of-theChairman~ ..... ~.~ Orqanizational Meetinq The organizational meeting of the Commission shall be held during the month of December for the purpose of organizing the Commission for the coming year, and for the purpose of electing officers. Rules of Procedure Roberts Rules of Order shall govern the conduct of all meetings. Ouorum A quorum of the Commission shall be in attendance before action of an official nature can be taken. A quorum is at least (1) one more than the number absent, of the appointed members. If there is no quorum at the opening of a meeting it may be adjourned by a majority of the Commissioners present. Public Notice The meetings of the Commission shall be open to the general public but voting shall be limited to the Commission members. Advance notice of Commission meetings will be sent to local news media at least (4) four days prior to the scheduled meeting.
