Appointment of members shall take place at the regular meeting of the County Commissioners one month prior to the organizational meeting of the Commission, or at such times as the County Commissioners may desire. Members of the Commission, except for the initial members, shall serve for a period not to exceed three years from the first organizational meeting after their appointment. The initial members of the Commission will serve terms designated by the Cabarrus County Board of County Commissioners in its resolution organizing the Commission. Members are eligible for reappointment, but not to exceed two consecutive terms. After one year, an ex-member is eligible for another appointment. A y~,uth~'.~.~~ Representative -~ from a . cabarrus County/Kannapolis City High School -shall be appointed annually by the Board of County Commissioners in August at a regular board meeting. Any member may resign from the Advisory Commission by submitting a written resignation to the Chairman or the Parks and Recreation Director. The Board of County Commissioners shall appoint a replacement to fill the unexpired term of any vacancy created. No member shall be related to any employee of the Parks and Recreation Department in accordance with Article V. Section 5, Limitation of Employment of Relatives of the Cabarrus County Personnel Ordinance. No member, directly or indirectly, individually or through any entity, shall contract with or provide services for compensation with the Parks and Recreation Department. ARTICLE VI Meetings Regular Meetings Regular meetings of the Commission shall be held the fourth Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm. SDecial Meetings The Chairman, or in his absence, the Vice-Chairman, may call a special meeting of the Commission by giving to each member forty-eight (48) hours notice
