Section 5. <br /> <br />ARTICLE III (Cont.) <br /> <br />The Advisory Board shall serve: <br /> <br />a> To advise the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners and the Cabarrus County Parks and <br />Recreation Department concerning. County Parks and <br />Recreation matters. <br /> <br />b> To inform business and community leaders and the <br />general population about the Parks and RecreAtion <br />Department and its functions. <br /> <br />c> To develop financial planning, identify <br />resources, and assist in securing funds from the <br />corporate and the private sector. <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />Section 4. <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />ARTICLE IV <br /> <br />Membership of Commission <br /> <br />Each member of the Commission shall be appointed by <br />the Board of County Commissioners of Cabarrus <br />County, as hereinafter set forth. Members of the <br />Commission shall be broadly representative from all <br />townships of Cabarrus County and be interested in <br />and supportive of the goals of the Commission. <br /> <br />The size of the Commission shall not exceed eleven <br />(11) members. <br /> <br />A Youth Representative from a Cabarrus <br />County/Kannapolis City High School shall serve as a <br />voting member of the Commission. <br /> <br />Each appointee shall be entitled to a per diem <br />payment per regular meetings attended. This per <br />diem payment rate will be established by the <br />Cabarrus Board of County Commissioners annually. <br /> <br />ARTICLE V <br /> <br />Appointment of Commission <br /> <br />Any legal resident of Cabarrus County is eligible <br />for appointment to the Commission. <br /> <br />The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners shall <br />appoint all members of the Commission from the <br />slate of nominees submitted by the nominating <br />Committee of the Commission or by individually <br />nominating members without restriction to the <br />proposed slate. <br /> <br /> <br />
