Unfinished Business New Business Reports Adjournment ARTICLE VII Officers Officers Officers of the Commission shall consist Chairman, Vice-Chairman and a Secretary. of a Election of Officers The election of officers shall be held at the regular meeting in December of each year. At the December meeti~g the nominating Committee shall submit the ..~e of a' candidate for ,each, offices. The floor shall then be opened for additional candidates. In the event there are no nominations from the floor for an office, the candidate presented by the Nominating Committee for that office shall be declared elected. Should nominations be made from the floor for any office a secret ballot shall be held and the candidate receiving the majority of votes shall be declared elected· Term of Office Officers shall be elected and installed at the organizational meeting to serve for a term of one year. Terms of the officers shall begin at the close of the meeting at which they were elected.' Officer Vacancy An officer vacancy shall be filled by the Executive Committee for a time period not to exceed the original term of the vacant office. Duties of the Chairman The Chairman shall preside over all meetings of the Commission and shall sign all official papers or documents relative to action taken by the Commission. The ChaiKman shall appoint members to all committees and shall be an ex-officio member of all committees. Duties of the Vice-Chairman The Vice-Chairman shall assume all duties of the Chairman in the absence of the Chairman.
