Formal Request for Proposal <br />For Telephone System For Cabarrus County Health Department <br /> <br />List of Minimum Specifications <br /> <br />Back~round: <br /> <br />The present system is a PBX System with 9 incoming lines and approximately 80 <br />extensions (capability of approximately 100), two (2) lines dedicated for long <br />distance service, and one (1) line dedicated Charlotte line. Additional <br />circuit boards can be purchased to allow for more extensions. The two long <br />distance lines are serviced through BTI Telecommunication Services and the <br />Charlotte line is services through Concord Telephone Company. <br /> <br />The present system is being leased monthly plus tolls with no annual <br />maintenance fee and no contractual obligation. <br /> <br />There are presently five (5) cable lines in place for computer, modem, and data <br />line computer hookups. <br /> <br />Minimum Requirements <br /> <br />1. Central switchboard/console for single operator use. <br /> <br />Console features: <br />a. Capability of putting more than one call on hold at any given time. <br /> <br />b. Capability of answering any incoming call if other lines on console are <br /> also being used. <br /> <br />c. Multiple station camp-on with console callback feature. <br /> <br />d. Capability to page directlythrough console. <br /> <br />e. Capability of music on-hold feature. <br /> <br />f. Option for headset use with console or hand-held unit. <br /> <br />g. Universal night answering feature to allow employees to answer in-house <br /> calls after regular office hours (include night answering code). <br /> <br />h. Page queue feature to allow operator to direct calls to appropriate <br /> place if phone is unattended. <br /> <br />i. Timer for directed in-house calls which are unanswered so call will <br /> automatically return to switchboard. <br /> <br />Minimum of 12 incoming/outgoing trunk lines to accommodate 2 lines for BTI <br />lines for toll service, I dedicated line for' Charlotte lines, and one line <br />for Environmental Health Section which is located adjacent to the health <br />department. <br /> <br />Capability of Environmental Health Section switching over calls to central <br />console/switchboard during peak periods to assist with answering calls. <br /> <br /> <br />
