Jones, MPH <br />Assistant Section <br /> Chief <br /> Coa~aunicable Disease Control Section <br /> <br />SUBJECT: FY 1993 Communicable Disease Aid-to-Counties Funding <br /> <br />The North Carolina General Assembly has appropriated an additional $500,000 for <br />con~unicable disease control efforts in local health departments across the ~;tate. <br />We have worked with the Local Health Directors ~%ssociation to develop the re%,ised <br />Communicable Disease Needs Formula to define level of need in each health department <br />and distribute these additional funds. A copy of the Communicable Disease Needs <br />Formula is attached to this memorand%un. We are allocating an additional $11,000 to <br />your county based upon this formula. <br /> <br />These additional funds may be spent for co~unicable disease-related activities (TB, <br />HIV/STD, Immunization and other communicable diseases). There are negotiable <br />objectives and required items in the'contract addendum which you will need to <br />cos~lete. In order to receive these additional funds, please complete both the <br />enclosed budget and contract addendum on or before October 1, 1992, and send to the <br />attention of: Johnsie Robinson DEHNR Division of General Services, Contract <br />Section, P. O. Box 27687, Raleigh, Norsh Carolina 2~611-7687. <br /> <br />we hope to be able to combine all Communicable Disease Control Section Programs into <br />one allocation for subsequent years and have only one contract addendum for all of <br />our programs.
