Inflow shall mean the water discharged into a sewer system <br /> including service connections from such sources as but not limited <br /> to roof leaders, cellar, yard and area drains, foundation drains, <br /> cooling water discharges, drains from springs and swampy areas, <br /> manhole covers, cross connections from storm sewers and combined <br /> sewers, catch basins, stormwaters, surface runoff, street <br /> washwaters or drainage. Inflow does not include, and is <br />· distinguished from, infiltration. <br /> <br /> Insignificant Industrial User shall mean a facility which <br />discharges nondomestic wastewater into a publicly owned treatment <br />works and which does not meet the criteria of a significant <br />industrial user. <br /> <br /> IOD or immediate oxygen demand shall mean the quantity of <br />oxygen utilized by an industrial waste in excess of that normally <br />attributable to sewage as measured by using standard laboratory <br />methods, as set out in this ordinance, expressed in parts per <br />million. <br /> <br /> Interference shall mean the inhibition, or disruption of the <br />wastewater treatment processes or operations, or its sludge <br />process, use, or disposal, which causes or contributes to a <br />violation of any requirement of the wastewater treatment plant's <br />NPDES or Non-discharge permit or prevents sewage sludge use or <br />disposal in compliance with specified applicable State and Federal <br />statutes, regulations, or permits. The term includes prevention of <br />sewage sludge use or disposal by the wastewater treatment plant in <br />accordance with 405 of the Act, (33 U.S.C. 1345) or any criteria, <br />guidelines, or regulations developed pursuant to the Solid Waste <br />Disposal Act (SWDA), the Clean Air Act, the Toxic Substances <br />Control Act, the Marine Protection Research and Sanctuary Act <br />(MPRSA) or more stringent than State criteria (including those <br />contained in any State Sludge Management Plan prepared pursuant to <br />Title IV of SWDA) applicable to the method of disposal or use <br />employed by the wastewater treatment plant. <br /> <br /> Maximum Permissible Dose shall mean a dose of radiation to any <br />part of the body, internal cr external or both, that in the light <br />of present knowledge is not expected to cause appreciable bodily <br />injury to a person at any time during his lifetime. <br /> <br /> New Source shall mean (i) any source of a discharge, the <br />construction or operations of which commenced after the publication <br />of proposed Categorical Pretreatment Standards under Section 307(c) <br />(33 U.S.C. 1317(c)} of the Act which will be applicable to such <br />source if the standard is thereafter promulgated in accordance with <br />Section 307(c), provided that: <br /> <br />(A) no other substance is located at that site; or <br /> <br /> <br />
