(z) Toxic qases. Any pollutants which result in the presence <br />of toxic gases, vapors or fumes within the system in a <br />quantity that may cause worker health and safety problems. <br /> <br />(aa) Medical wastes. Any <br />specifically authorized by <br />wastewater discharge permit. <br /> <br />medical wastes, except as <br />the Executive Director in a <br /> <br />(bb) Ammonia compounds. Any material containing ammonia, <br />ammonia salts, or other chelating agents which will produce <br />metallic complexes that interfere with the wastewater <br />treatment system. <br /> <br />(cc) Hazardous waste. Any material identified as hazardous <br />waste according to 40 CFR Part 261 except as may be <br />specifically authorized by the Authority. <br /> <br />(dd) Human or animal Darts. Recognizable portions of the human <br />or animal anatomy. <br /> <br />(ee) Excessive foaminq. Any wastes containing detergents, <br />surface active agents, or other substances which may cause <br />excessive foaming in the wastewater treatment system. <br /> <br />(fl) Contract Haulers. ~y person engaging in the transport <br />of septage, wastes from chemical toilets or other liquid or <br />semi-liquid wastewater for the purpose of disposal shall be <br />referred to herein as contractors. Contractors shall be <br />allowed to empty wastewater permitted by this subsection into <br />the sewer system at designated structures located at the <br />wastewater treatment plant subject to the following <br />limitations and conditions: <br /> <br />i. Before emptying septic tank sludge or wastes from <br />chemical toilets into the sewer system at the wastewater <br />treatment plant, contractors shall have obtained and have <br />in their possession a currently valid pe~it to provide <br />scavenger service issued by the County Health Department <br />in compliance with Cabarrus County Board of Health <br />regulations certifying that the contractor's equipment <br />has been inspected and approved. The number of the <br />permit shall be prominently displayed by the contractor <br />on the cab of the truck or on the tank in which sludge or <br />waste is transported. <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br /> <br />
