5.10 Grease, Oil and Sand InterceDtors <br /> <br />Grease, oil and sand interceptors shall be provided when, in the <br />opinion of the Executive Director, they are necessary for the <br />proper handling of liquid wastes containing grease in excessive <br />amounts or any flammable wastes, sand or other harmful <br />ingredients, except that such interceptors shall not be required <br />for private living quarters or dwelling units. All restaurants and <br />slaughtering operations shall have grease interceptors or grease <br />removal facilities. All interceptors shall be maintained by the <br />owner at his expense in continuously efficient operation at all <br />times. <br /> <br />5.11 Interrupted Service Note <br /> <br />Notice shall be given to the Executive Director or his designee <br />when normal industry will be interrupted for seventy two (72) <br />hours or longer and wastewater will not be available for discharge, <br />or when a change of process is contemplated or malfunction of the <br />treatment facility occurs or is anticipated which will alter <br />demands on the wastewater treatment facilities. Normal operations <br />shall include allowance for legal holidays and other announced <br />plant shutdowns. <br /> <br />5.12 signi.ficant Chanqes In Wastewater Discharae <br /> <br />Users shall promptly notify the Authority <br />significant or substantial changes in the <br />characteristics of their wastewater discharge. <br />change will be based upon: <br /> <br />in advance of <br />volume and/or <br />A significant <br /> <br />(a) Substances, compounds and elements not previously <br />constituting any part of a users wastewater, or; <br /> <br />(b) If the average concentration of any substance, compound <br />or element in the wastewater or average volume proposed to be <br />discharged will increase by twenty-five (25%) or more over <br />that for which the permit had been issued, or; <br /> <br />(c) If the change in character or volume of the wastewater <br />will change the user's classification, whereas a permit may or <br />may not be required. <br /> <br />SECTION 6 - TAMPERING WITH, DAMAGING SEWERAGE WORKS <br /> <br /> No person shall maliciously, willfully or negligently break, <br />damage, destroy, uncover, deface or tamper with any structure, <br />appurtenance or equipment which is a part of the wastewater <br />treatment system. <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br /> <br />
