Through TVl3/Mecklenburg, our Local Origination (LO) <br /> programming, We produce shows of local interest, <br /> including "One on One," a talk show hosted by D.G. <br /> Martin; "Forever Young," for and about Senior citizens; <br /> and "Kids' Express," a show promoting reading and <br /> safety, done in conjunction with the Charlotte <br /> Public Library and the <br /> /Mecklenburg <br /> Mecklenburg <br /> County <br /> Police. <br /> <br /> 6. Our studio regularly produces, at no charge, Public <br /> service Announcements for many local organizations, <br /> including the United Way, the Boy Scouts of America, <br /> Charlotte's "Reachline," the Relatives, Planned <br /> Parenthood, and the Shriners. <br /> <br /> A Public Affairs Coordinator has also been added to our <br />professional team. It is our desire to find new ways to <br />become active in the communities we serve, as well as, <br />create more efficient lines of communication with our <br />franchises and elected officials. <br /> <br /> Ultimately, our primary goal is to provide quality <br />programming, entertainment, and service to our franchised <br /> at the lowest cost to other cable <br />areas <br /> comparable <br /> area <br />operators. Our "Total Access" basic service of 42 channels <br />hosts a wide array of viewing options from award-winning <br />movies, championship sports, to educational documentaries. <br />Vision Cable continues to provide "Broadcast Basic" service <br />for $ 1.00 per month. We offer 5 premium services to our <br />customers, as well as pay-per-view programming. At the <br />request of many of our subscribers, SportSouth was added to <br />our premium channel line up in 1990, and the response has <br />been positive. In 1991, we have already made a uni~le <br />addition to our current basic service, American Movie <br />Classics. All of the laughter, romance, thrills and <br />adventure Of Hollywood's classic films is brought to our <br />subscribers in their original, uncut and uncolorized version <br />at no additional charge. <br /> <br /> We strive to provide our customers the highest quality <br />programming and complete service for the lowest cost. To <br />continue to provide this quality service and entertainment, <br />we find it necessary to adjust our cable rates.
