This will allow <br /> us to deliver our billing to as many as four distinct groups <br /> of customers. <br /> <br /> Vision Cable had the pleasure of participating in <br /> several community activities through 1990. We are committed <br /> to being active participants in the local neighborhoods we <br /> serve. Some of the many activities from the past year <br /> include: <br /> <br /> 1. Our technical staff worked diligently to install cable <br /> service to over 22 new and existing public schools in <br /> our area. "Cable in the Classroom", a national <br /> coalition of Cable TV programming services, will offer <br /> innovative teaching opportunities in 1991. Through <br /> this coalition and Vision Cable of NC, we have made the <br /> Discovery Channel and CNN Newsroom available to area <br /> teachers and media specialists to use in their <br /> teaching curriculum. <br /> <br /> our fees were donated to The <br /> 2. <br /> A <br /> portion <br /> of <br /> installation <br /> Muscular Dystrophy Association in August, and the <br /> Salvation Army received almost $ 1600 from an <br /> installation revenue campaign in December. <br /> <br /> 3. Stuffed animals were donated to the Thompson's <br /> Children's Home, a VCR to the MMAE's INN, Charlotte's <br /> Hospital Hospitality House, and two needy families <br /> received an array of canned goods, clothes, household <br /> items and linens during the Christmas Holidays. <br /> <br /> 4. When American TroOps were sent to Saudia Arabia in <br /> Operation Desert Shield, Vision Cable looked for a way <br /> to support their efforts. We implemented a Christmas <br /> Mail Campaign, inviting everyone in the community to <br /> bring by cards and letters written to the servicemen, <br /> for which we would pay all postage costs.
