Board of Commissioners, Cabarr~s County, North Carolina <br />LAW Proposal No. O13M1C <br />April 1, 1991 <br />(Revised April 19, 1991) <br />-5- <br /> <br /> Mr. Eric Davis, P. E., Construction Services Manager will serve as the <br />Project Principml. Re will be assisted by Mr. Nathan Cooke, P. G. a~ needed, <br />particularly during the cutoff trench excavation and foundation grouting. Mr. <br />Davis will also be assisted by Mr. Allen Hughes, Principal Engineering <br />Technician (NICE~ Level IV). Mr. Hu~hes will review daily testing reports, <br />provide planning and ConSultation with project personnel, and prepare form~ <br />reports for Law Engineering. Form~l reports will be reviewed by Mr. Davis. <br />In addition Mr. Gary Weekley, P. E. Senior Engineer will be available to <br />provide senior geotechnical review when needed. <br /> <br /> In addition other consultants will be available if and when needed. This <br /> limited to Mr. Sams, P. E. a corporate <br />includes <br /> but <br /> is <br /> not <br /> Clay <br />geotechntcai consultant located in Charlotte, North Carolina. We understand <br />that HDH will provide addition8-I geotechnica~ support as they feel the need <br /> <br /> We propose to provide verbal reports on a dsily bssia from our field <br />staff to the appropriate project personnel. Daily inspection reports will be <br />faxed to the Project Manager, HDR Engineering, Inc. Weekly written progress <br />reports would tJ~en be issued from our Charlotte office. Critic~ test reports <br />would be provided more frequently, as requested. <br /> <br /> ~ST F~TIJ~TE <br /> <br /> Based on our understanding of the proposed construction and the scope of <br />services required, we estimate the total cost of our services to be $220,000 <br />as outlined in the attached Cost Estimate. Actua~ charges for our work will <br />be invoiced four weeks at the m,it rates shown on the attached Fee <br />Schedule. If ~here is a change in the construction schedule or the scope of <br />services out_lined in our Cost Estimate exhibit, the cost for our services <br />would change accordingly. If we anticipate that the total cost of our <br />services should exceed the figure presented, we would obtain your permission <br />before proceeding. We. understand that overtime work must be approved by HDR <br />Engineering prior to conducting the work. <br /> <br /> COMPENSATION <br /> <br /> · The attached Fee Schedule itemizes the costs for services provided by Law <br />Engineering such as technician and engineering time required, laboratory tests <br />and associated travel costs. <br /> <br /> AUTflOFIIZATION <br /> <br /> If this proposal is acceptable, you can provide for=al authorization and <br /> procedures by filling out the "Proposul Acceptance Sheet" in <br />proper <br /> invoicing <br />the back of one copy of this proposal and returning that copy of this proposal <br />to us. Any exceptions to this proposal or special requirements not covered in <br />the proposal should be listed on the Proposal Acceptance Sheet.
