A minimum of one compaction test per 100 cy
placed will be performed.

- Perform moisture.~ content measurements at the puE mill pr/or to placement.

- Monitor placement and curie§ of roller compacted concrete.

- Prepare ~ minimum of ~ sets of roller compacted concrete cylinders (6
cylinders per set): The cylinders will be cast in 6 by 12 inch metal
split compaction mold p~ovided by HDR. Samples will be compacted in 2
inch lifts with 50 blows of a modified Proctor hammeF (10 lb 18 inch
drop) per lift. Two cylinders will be tested for compressive strength at
7 days, two at 28 days end two at 56 days.

Asphaltkc Concrete PavinK

- Inspect sub, rede before placement of base materials.

- Perform density and thickness tests in base materials to verify that they
are properly compacted and of sufficient thick, ess: at least one test per
500 ft of roadway.

- Make field density and thickness measurements of /n-place asphaltic
concrete: at least one test per 900 ft Of roadway.

- Provide batch plant inspect/on to observe batchin~ procedures and to
perform necessary tests to make adjustments to keep the mix percenta§e in
the specified ranEes.

- Inspect ~eneral headlinE, placement, and rollffu~ procedures in the field.

PHOJECT STAFF

In o~der to effectively perform t~esa services to coordinate our
activities with the contractor and the site enEineer, and to provide prompt
re~ponaive service, we propose to assiEn en en~ineerinE tecknicisn with four
to six years experience.
