Major provisions of the proposal are as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Charles Page of the United Ray and Bill McCoy of the Urban Institute vould <br /> work together in providing services. (Mr. Page would primarily help in <br /> defining and refining available options and Dr. McCoy would have as a <br /> primary role the facilitation of meetings.) <br /> <br /> 2. Staff of the County human service agencies would continue to provide <br /> coordination support and data gathering. <br /> <br /> 3. A ten-meeting process of gathering and processing additional data, making <br /> decisions on alternatives to be recommended, and compiling reports would be <br /> undertaken. <br /> <br /> 4. United Ray of Central Carolinas would not charge for its services. (They <br /> are projected to have a value of $1500.) The Urban Institute would charge <br /> $2400 to defray its expenses (inclusive of $200 for assistance in compiling <br /> a report.) <br /> <br /> The Committee, at its June 17 meeting, approved this proposal and agreed to <br />request of the Board of Commissioners ac its July 1 meeting that it approve this <br />proposal, appropriate $2400 for pa)-~ent to the Urban Institute and authorize the <br />County Manager to enter a contract for the purchase of these services. <br /> <br /> <br />
