21st CENTURY COmmITTEE <br /> MINUTES <br /> APRIL 29, 1991 flEETING <br /> <br /> The Committee met at the Cabarrus County Health Department on April 29, <br /> 1991. <br /> <br /> Persons present were: William F. Pilkington, Herb Smith, Gail Linker, <br />Angela Ferguson, Jan 0dell, Betty Jewell, Vernice Morgan, Martha Macon, Hod <br />Duncan, Dave Lockhart, Dick Snyder, Bob Lorish, Jim Cook and Bob Sessum. <br /> <br /> Minutes of the previous meeting and materials requested at that time <br /> (e.g. United Way PEP and Family Issues Task Force reports) were distributed. <br /> <br /> The Committee undertook an exercise designed to help people get to <br />know each other better. <br /> <br /> The Committee reviewed the assignment it had been given by the Board <br />of Commissioners. <br /> <br /> The Committee undertook a process of prioritizing possible <br />activities. (The results are attached.) <br /> <br /> Herb Smith was unanimously elected Chairman. <br /> <br /> A presentation by Planning Office staff on growth and demographic <br />projections was requested for the next meeting. <br /> <br /> Fred Pilkington led the Committee on a tour of the Health D~partment. <br /> <br /> The next meeting was set for Monday, May 13 at the Department of <br />Social Services. <br /> <br /> <br />
