Prioritization of Possible Committee Activities <br /> From April 29, 1991 Meeting <br /> <br /> 17 1. Presentation by the County Planning Department on growth <br /> projections, potential sites for construction (or additional <br /> construction) <br /> <br /> Gather information through visits and/or presentations and/or <br /> questionnaires from Mental Health, Health, Social Services, Aging, <br /> school systems, United Way and others on: <br /> <br /> ~ 2. services currently provided in the community, numbers <br /> served, legal mandates, source of funds, ~ employees, # <br /> volunteers <br /> 11 3. current and projected service needs <br /> _~-- 4. areas of service where collocation would be especially <br /> helpful <br /> ~ 5. existing planning processes <br /> <br /> 1 6. Do a survey of experts in the field on service needs, and/or <br /> coordination needs and/or collocation needs <br /> <br /> ~ 7. Assess community plans which have already been made (Aging <br /> Plan, United Way Family Issues Task Force, United Way <br /> Program Emphasis Process, Transportation Development Plan) <br /> <br />~ 8. Have presentations or do field trips to see innovative <br /> things done in other communities. <br /> <br />~ 9. Hold a public hearing to secure citizen input relevant to <br /> assigned tasks. <br /> <br />0 I0. Invite proposals from architects on facilities <br /> <br />~ 11. Secure information on possible sources of funding for <br /> construction of facilities. <br /> <br />~ 12.
